船越清藏 文化2年(1805)～文久2年(1862) 長門清末藩士。廣瀬淡窓門の陽明学者。京都に開塾。久坂玄瑞が吉田松陰に紹介、松陰の推薦により、萩明倫館の教官となった。「不似風魚日夜滋 桃花萬樹照霜髭 / 先生何意徐收巻 私語豐公是男兒 / 題伏水桃花圖 守愚」(出典:平成6年度京都大学附属図書館公開展示会図録『吉田松陰とその同志』)
FUNAKOSHI SEIZO (1805-1862) composed this poem when he saw a picture on peach and flowwers at Fushimi Castle. He thought over the Azuchi-Momoya period when TOYOTOMI HIDEYOSHI had ruled. HIDEYOSHI didn't have to worry about any boudary crisis. SEIZO was deeply impressed with HIDEYOSHI's power, and composed it.
